Israeli Violations in the West Bank Saturday 8/2/2013Jerusalem
- Isareli soldiers clashed with residents in I'saweya town, wounding 24 residents; soldiers also arrested Ala' Jameel Abu Rayyala, and took him to unknown destination.
Ramallah
- Israeli soldiers violently attacked the weekly nonviolent protests against the Annexation Wall and Settlements in the villages of Bilin and Nabi Saleh; dozens of protesters were treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation.
JENIN:
- Isareli soldiers at the barrier fired tear gas canisters against youths.
- Soldiers raided Fahma village and interrogated a number of residents after breaking into their houses.
- Isareli military jeeps and units raided the villages of Zebdeh, Nazlat Zeid, and Al-Arqa and carried out military actions; no arrests reported.
Qalqilia
- Dozens of Palestinian civilians organized a peaceful demonstration in Kufor Qaddoum village, in protest to the continued closure of the entrance of the village by Israeli forces. Israeli soldiers prevented the demonstrators from getting close to the entrance and attacked them, and fired tear gas canisters at them, wounding 3; those wounded were identified as Ahmad Zahi Burhum, 13 years, Bashar Nazzal, and Khalid Murad Burhum; many also suffered from the effects of tear gas inhalation.
Bethlehem
- Many demonstrators were tear gassed by Israeli Soldiers in the village of Ma'sara. Many protesters suffered from tear gas choking in the weekly march which was organized by the Popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements in the village.
Hebron
- Israeli forces arrested Anwar Ziad Al-Foroukh, 24 years from Sureef town.
- Dozens of activists protested by a settlement near Hebron demanding Israel reopen a road linking the city with southern towns. Protesters gathered at Haggay settlement demanding Israel reopen a main road linking Hebron to al-Samu, Dura and Dhahiriya. Soldiers closed the area and fired tear gas canisters, and beat Ahmad Fathullah Salhab, 44 years.
- Settlers raided Youth against Settlement's As-Somoud Center in the old city and attacked it with stones, wounding Jawad Abu Eisha; soldiers intervened and arrested the center's coordinator Isa Amro and Jawad Abu Eisha.
